Check list and procedure for boarding flight.
According to my experience and knowledge I am writing this to help those who are boarding flight for the first time and in need of little help.
Relax, be cool, do not hurry or panic.
Be in time to avoid tension.
Be in airport 2 [two] hours prior to departure.
Baggage Rules:-
Changes from airlines to airlines check the same in your e-ticket or calling respective airlines helpline numbers.
› Permitted weight: 20 kilograms or as per their rules applicable.
› Cabin Baggage: 8 kilograms or as per their rules applicable.
› Excess baggage charged at Rs.70/- per kilograms or as per their rules applicable.
Baggage = those luggage which you are not carrying with yourself.
Cabin Baggage = those luggage which you are carrying with yourself and keeping with you only.
Cabin luggage should not contain any harmful items like scissors, nail cutter, knife, razor, etc.,
Do not carry harmful items in your cabin baggage and in your baggage.
Now coming to check in procedures “Step by Step”: -
1) Show the e-ticket and valid photo ID to Security person before entering the Airport premises.
2) Those who are boarding from Bengaluru Airport – had to pay “UDF - User Development Fee – Domestic Rs.260-00” check the same there itself.
3) Inside Airport go to respective Airlines X-Ray scanning section and give your Baggage = which you are not carrying with yourself = to respective airlines for “x-ray scanning security checking” and to get it sealed. Do not open after it is sealed. (((Make sure your baggage is security checked with present date and sealed))).
4) After x-ray scan of your baggage, take it to the respective Airline counter.
5) Show your e-ticket and valid photo ID to respective Airline counter and give your baggage to them.
6) Ask them to give you window and next seat. (If you want seat preference for two with window seat – usually this is done in first come first basis and on availability).
7) They will issue you a boarding pass and they will put baggage sticker to your baggage and copy of the baggage sticker behind your boarding pass and they will retain your baggage with themselves. These baggages will be kept in respective airplanes; you should collect the same after you arrived at your destination.
8) Collect the Cabin Baggage slips in the counter (If you are having 2 cabin baggage then collect 2 slips)
9) Put those cabin baggage slips to your respective cabin baggage.
10) After above procedure, now proceed towards Security check in. (male and female check in are separate).
11) Put all your belongings in your cabin luggage like Cell phones (switch it off), Belt, purse, wallet, jerkins, water bottle, laptop etc., carry only your boarding pass and briefcase keys if any in your hand.
12) Put your cabin luggage in X-ray Security scan.
13) Now you proceed with your boarding pass for security check in.
14) Security person will check you and puts “Security checked” seal on your boarding pass. (((Make sure your boarding pass has “Security checked with present date” seal))).
15) Collect your cabin baggage from security scan; they will put “Security Checked” seal on your cabin baggage slip. (((Make sure your cabin baggage slip has “Security checked with present date” seal))).
16) Now proceed towards respective airlines counter.
17) If time is there you had to wait, since boarding to Airplane will be 30 or 40 minutes earlier to departure.
18) When boarding time comes announcement will be made. If no announcement is made please go to respective counter before 30 minutes to departure time and ask them.
19) Line up in Queues in your respective airlines counter and show your boarding pass to make an entry.
20) Security person will check your boarding pass and cabin luggage slips are having seal of “Security checked with present date” seal.
21) Now when you enter field of Airport, bus or any other vehicle will be waiting for you to carry you to Airplane placed in Airport ground….. If you are confused ask the person standing there by showing your boarding pass.
22) Now you will be seated in bus, this bus will carry your to your airplane.
23) Get down of bus and go to airplane and show your boarding pass to the crew member standing there.
24) They will cut off counterfoil and keep with themselves and give you the boarding pass. (((Make sure you collect the boarding pass and retain this with your custody till the journey completes and reach your home or destination.))).
25) Go inside the airplane, search for your seat and sit in your seat number.
26) You can keep your cabin luggage in “Cabin luggage storage” above your seat; if your cabin luggage is small you can keep on your lap.
27) Listen to the announcement from time to time inside flight and follow it.
28) After your flight lands your destination.
29) Wait for their instruction.
30) Get down of airplane.
31) Bus will carry you from Airport ground to Arrival section.
32) Go inside arrival section.
33) Take a trolley to keep your baggage.
34) See your baggage are came and take with yourself. (You can ask the person standing near by where the baggage are coming by showing your boarding pass.)
35) After you collected your baggage, if you want to book a taxi, it is always better to book pre-paid taxi inside airport; this is for your safety.
36) Walk out of airport.
